GLOW ON THE OUTSIDE
A healthy twist on a classic favourite - strawberries and cream! This healthy version is high in protein to keep you satisfied for hours. An ideal post-workout meal to replenish those tired muscles or enjoy as an afternoon snack to get your through those hunger pangs.
By pairing naturally sweet ingredients like berries with a high protein ingredient like Greek yoghurt, your blood sugar levels wont spike out of control and instead will provide you with sustained energy till your next meal.
150 grams Greek yoghurt (e.g. YoPRO, Chobani or Tamar Valley natural yoghurt)
100 grams fresh or frozen strawberries
1 Tbsp sugar-free maple syrup (10g)
1 tsp chia seeds (5g)
Per serve: 134 calories, 11.2g protein, 16g net carbohydrates, 3.4g fiber, 1.8g total fat.
* Make strawberry jam in bulk and store in the fridge in a jar for up to a week.
* Turn this in to a breakfast on the go by making it in a tuperware container or glass jar and topping it with oats, nuts & seeds.
* If natural or Greek yoghurt is not for you, substitute with Yoplait ForMe vanilla or strawberry yoghurt.
