LET SCIENCE GUIDE YOUR WAY TO...
Dr Megan Chircop
This drink is a dream for those watching their weight and wanting to lose fat.
- Caffeine to give you that needed pick-me-up in the morning or during that afternoon low
- Caffeine to stimulate your metabolism
- Contains ZERO calories.
- And best of all it has a creamy texture
How you say?
The magic in this frappe is the ice cubes. When blitz up it makes a creamy froth on top.
It could not be simpler:
In a high performance blend, blitz together a shot of espresso (cooled) or 1 tsp of instant coffee, a cup of water, stevia to taste (optional) and a handful of ice cubes.
VARIATION: If you have already had too many coffees during the day or if you are already enjoying this shake later in the day opt for decaffeinated coffee or a sugar-free chocolate drink powder such as the one from Avalanche.
BE IMAGINATIVE: Try making an iced-tea instead. Brew a cuppa of your favourite tea. Pop it in the fridge to cool. Blend with stevia (optional) and ice cubes.
